Who are we?
Westhay Opportunity Centre, is a day service opportunity centre for adults with learning difficulties. It was founded by Alison and Trevor Whitcombe in 2008, in the beautiful settings of the Somerset levels, based on a working farm.
What we do?
Our highly experienced and dedicated staff provide the highest standards of support and guidance, creating an environment that enables our service users to develop and thrive, physically, socially and personally.
How we do this.
We provide purposeful, real life opportunities on a daily basis that encourages both independence and team work that is equally enterprising as it is challenging for our service users. Our diverse and enthusiastic staff and team ethos creates a fun family feel to our service that is very personable and individual. We pride ourselves on our fantastic staff ratios, operating at a minimum staff to student ratio of 3:1, in most cases 2:1 and when required we provide one to one support.
